Ezequiel 27

1
Moreover the word of HaShem came unto me, saying:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2
'And thou, son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyre,
And thou, son of man, take up a lamentation against Tyre;
3
and say unto Tyre, that dwelleth at the entry of the sea, that is the merchant of the peoples unto many isles: Thus saith the L-rd GOD: thou, O Tyre, hast said: I am of perfect beauty.
and thou shalt say to Tyre that dwells at the entrance of the sea, to the mart of the nations coming from many islands, Thus saith the Lord to Tyre; Thou hast said, I have clothed myself with my beauty.
4

All the dwellers in the islands have mourned over thee, and their kings have been utterly amazed, and their countenance has wept.

Merchants from the nations have hissed at thee; thou art utterly destroyed, and shalt not be anymore forever.

JPS 1917 — The Holy Scriptures according to the Masoretic Text

1–36, siglo III a.
