Deuteronomio 3

1
Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan; and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, unto battle at Edrei.
And we turned and went by the way leading to Bashan; and Og the king of Bashan came out to meet us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
2
And HaShem said unto me: 'Fear him not; for I have delivered him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon.'
And the Lord said to me, Fear him not, for I have delivered him, and all his people, and all his land, into thy hands; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst to Sihon king of the Amorites who dwelt in Heshbon.
3
So HaShem our G-d delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people; and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.
And the Lord our God delivered him into our hands, even Og the king of Bashan, and all his people; and we smote him until we left none of his seed.
4
And we took all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we took not from them; threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
And we mastered all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we took not from them; sixty cities, all the country round about Argob, belonging to King Og in Bashan:
5
All these were fortified cities, with high walls, gates, and bars; beside the unwalled towns a great many.
all strong cities, lofty walls, gates and bars; besides the very many cities of the Perizzites.
6
And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city, the men, and the women, and the little ones.
We utterly destroyed [them] as we dealt with Sihon the king of Heshbon, so we utterly destroyed every city in order, and the women and the children,
7
But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey unto ourselves.
and all the cattle; and we took for a prey to ourselves the spoil of the cities.
8
And we took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites that were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of Arnon unto mount Hermon--
And we took at that time the land out of the hands of the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond Jordan, [extending] from the brook of Arnon even unto Hermon.
9
which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir--
The Phoenicians call Hermon Sirion, but the Amorite has called it Senir.
10
all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salcah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.--
All the cities of Misor, and all Gilead, and all Bashan as far as Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
11
For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.--
For only Og the king of Bashan was left of the Rephaim: behold, his bed [was] a bed of iron; behold, [it is] in the chief city of the children of Ammon; the length of it [is] nine cubits, and the breadth of it four cubits, according to the cubit of a man.
12
And this land we took in possession at that time; from Aroer, which is by the valley of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites;
And we inherited that land at that time from Aroer, which is by the border of the torrent Arnon, and half the mount of Gilead; and I gave his cities to Reuben and to Gad.
13
and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half-tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob--all that Bashan is called the land of Rephaim.
And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh, and all the country round about Argob, all that Bashan; it shall be accounted the land of Rephaim.
14
Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own name, Havvoth-jair, unto this day.--
And Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country round about Argob as far as the borders of Geshur and Maacath: he called them by his name Bashan-havvoth-jair until this day.
15
And I gave Gilead unto Machir.
And to Machir I gave Gilead.
16
And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the valley of Arnon, the middle of the valley for a border; even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
And to Reuben and to Gad I gave [the land] under Gilead as far as the brook of Arnon, the border between the brook and as far as Jabbok; the brook [is] the border to the children of Ammon.
17
the Arabah also, the Jordan being the border thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.
And Arabah and Jordan [are] the boundary of Chinnereth, even to the Sea of Arabah, the salt sea under Asedoth Pisgah eastward.
18
And I commanded you at that time, saying: 'The HaShem your G-d hath given you this land to possess it; ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all the men of valour.
And I charged you at that time, saying, The Lord your God has given you this land by lot; arm yourselves, every one [that is] powerful, and go before your brethren the children of Israel.
19
But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle--I know that ye have much cattle--shall abide in your cities which I have given you;
Only your wives and your children and your cattle (I know that ye have much cattle), let them dwell in your cities which I have given you;
20
until HaShem give rest unto your brethren, as unto you, and they also possess the land which HaShem your G-d giveth them beyond the Jordan; then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.
until the Lord your God give your brethren rest, as also he has given to you, and they also shall inherit the land, which the Lord our God gives them on the other side of Jordan; then ye shall return, each one to his inheritance which I have given you.
21
And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying: 'Thine eyes have seen all that HaShem your G-d hath done unto these two kings; so shall HaShem do unto all the kingdoms whither thou goest over.
And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Your eyes have seen all things, which the Lord our God did to these two kings: so shall the Lord our God do to all the kingdoms against which thou crossest over thither.
22
Ye shall not fear them; for HaShem your G-d, He it is that fighteth for you.'
Ye shall not be afraid of them, because the Lord our God himself shall fight for you.
23
And I besought HaShem at that time, saying:
And I besought the Lord at that time, saying,
24
'O L-rd GOD, Thou hast begun to show Thy servant Thy greatness, and Thy strong hand; for what god is there in heaven or on earth, that can do according to Thy works, and according to Thy mighty acts?
Κύριε Θεὲ, σὺ ἤρξω δεῖξαι τῷ σῷ θεράποντι τὴν ἰσχύν σου, καὶ τὴν δύναμίν σου, καὶ τὴν χεῖρα τὴν κραταιὰν, καὶ τὸν βραχίονα τὸν ὑψηλόν· τίς γάρ ἐστι Θεὸς ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ἢ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὅστις ποιήσει καθὰ ἐποίησας σὺ, καὶ κατὰ τὴν ἰσχύν σου;
Lord God, thou hast begun to show to thy servant thy strength, and thy power, and thy mighty hand, and thy high arm: for what God is there in heaven or on the earth, who will do as thou hast done, and according to thy might?
25
Let me go over, I pray Thee, and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly hill-country, and Lebanon.'
I will therefore go over and see this good land that is beyond Jordan, this good mountain and Antilebanon.
26
But HaShem was wroth with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me; and HaShem said unto me: 'Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto Me of this matter.
And the Lord because of you did not regard me, and hearkened not to me; and the Lord said to me, Let it suffice thee, speak not of this matter to me anymore.
27
Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold with thine eyes; for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
Go up to the top of the quarried rock, and look with thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold [it] with thine eyes, for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
28
But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.'
And charge Joshua, and strengthen him, and encourage him; for he shall go before the face of this people, and he shall give them the inheritance of all the land which thou hast seen.
29
So we abode in the valley over against Beth-peor.
And we abode in the valley near the house of Peor.

JPS 1917 — The Holy Scriptures according to the Masoretic Text

1–36, siglo III a.
