Deuteronomium 31

1
And Moses went and spoke these words unto all Israel.
And Moses finished speaking all these words to all the children of Israel;
2
And he said unto them: 'I am a hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in; and HaShem hath said unto me: Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
and said to them, I am this day a hundred and twenty years [old]; I shall not be able any longer to come in or go out; and the Lord said to me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
3
HaShem thy G-d, He will go over before thee; He will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt dispossess them; and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as HaShem hath spoken.
The Lord thy God who goes before thee, he shall destroy these nations before thee, and thou shalt inherit them: and [it shall be] Joshua that goes before thy face, as the Lord has spoken.
4
And HaShem will do unto them as He did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the Amorites, and unto their land; whom He destroyed.
And the Lord thy God shall do to them as he did to Sihon and Og the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond Jordan, and to their land, as he destroyed them.
5
And HaShem will deliver them up before you, and ye shall do unto them according unto all the commandment which I have commanded you.
And the Lord has delivered them to you; and ye shall do to them, as I charged you.
6
Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be affrighted at them; for HaShem thy G-d, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.'
Be courageous and strong, fear not, neither be cowardly, neither be afraid before them; for [it is] the Lord your God that advances with you in the midst of you, neither will he by any means forsake thee, nor desert thee.
7
And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel: 'Be strong and of good courage; for thou shalt go with this people into the land which HaShem hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
And Moses called Joshua, and said to him before all Israel, Be courageous and strong; for thou shalt go in before this people into the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to them, and thou shalt give it to them for an inheritance.
8
And HaShem, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed.'
And the Lord that goes with thee shall not forsake thee nor abandon thee; fear not, neither be afraid.
9
And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, that bore the ark of the covenant of HaShem, and unto all the elders of Israel.
And Moses wrote the words of this law in a book, and gave it to the priests the sons of Levi who bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to the elders of the sons of Israel.
10
And Moses commanded them, saying: 'At the end of every seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
And Moses charged them in that day, saying, After seven years, in the time of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
11
when all Israel is come to appear before HaShem thy G-d in the place which He shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
when all Israel come together to appear before the Lord your God, in the place which the Lord shall choose, ye shall read this law before all Israel in their ears,
12
Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear HaShem your G-d, and observe to do all the words of this law;
having assembled the people, the men, and the women, and the children, and the stranger that is in your cities, that they may hear, and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God; and they shall hearken to do all the words of this law.
13
and that their children, who have not known, may hear, and learn to fear HaShem your G-d, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over the Jordan to possess it.'
And their sons who have not known shall hear, and shall learn to fear the Lord thy God all the days that they live upon the land, into which ye go over Jordan to inherit it.
14
And HaShem said unto Moses: 'Behold, thy days approach that thou must die; call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tent of meeting, that I may give him a charge.' And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tent of meeting.
And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, the days of thy death are at hand; call Joshua, and stand ye by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and I will give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went to the tabernacle of testimony, and stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony.
15
And HaShem appeared in the Tent in a pillar of cloud; and the pillar of cloud stood over the door of the Tent.
And the Lord descended in a cloud, and stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony; and the pillar of the cloud stood by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony.
16
And HaShem said unto Moses: 'Behold, thou art about to sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go astray after the foreign gods of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake Me, and break My covenant which I have made with them.
And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, and this people will arise and go a-whoring after the strange gods of the land, into which they are entering: and they will forsake me, and break my covenant, which I made with them.
17
Then My anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come upon them; so that they will say in that day: Are not these evils come upon us because our G-d is not among us?
And I will be very angry with them in that day, and I will leave them and turn my face away from them, and they shall be devoured; and many evils and afflictions shall come upon them; and they shall say in that day, Because the Lord my God is not with me, these evils have come upon me.
18
And I will surely hide My face in that day for all the evil which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.
And I will surely turn away my face from them in that day, because of all their evil doings which they have done, because they turned aside after strange gods.
19
Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach thou it the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.
And now write the words of this song, and teach it to the children of Israel, and ye shall put it into their mouth, that this song may witness for me among the children of Israel to their face.
20
For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore unto their fathers, flowing with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten their fill, and waxen fat; and turned unto other gods, and served them, and despised Me, and broken My covenant;
For I will bring them into the good land, which I swore to their fathers, to give to them a land flowing with milk and honey: and they shall eat and be filled and satisfy [themselves]; then will they turn aside after other gods, and serve them, and they will provoke me, and break my covenant.
21
then it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are come upon them, that this song shall testify before them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed; for I know their imagination how they do even now, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.'
And this song shall stand up to witness against them; for they shall not forget it out of their mouth, or out of the mouth of their seed; for I know their wickedness, what they are doing here this day, before I have brought them into the good land, which I swore to their fathers.
22
So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.
And Moses wrote this song in that day, and taught it to the children of Israel.
23
And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said: 'Be strong and of good courage; for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore unto them; and I will be with thee.'
And he charged Joshua, and said, Be courageous and strong, for thou shalt bring the sons of Israel into the land, which the Lord swore to them, and he shall be with thee.
24
And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
And when Moses finished writing all the words of this law in a book, even to the end,
25
that Moses commanded the Levites, that bore the ark of the covenant of HaShem, saying:
then he charged the Levites who bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying,
26
'Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of HaShem your G-d, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
Take the book of this law, and ye shall put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God; and it shall be there among you for a testimony.
27
For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck; behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against HaShem; and how much more after my death?
Ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐπίσταμαι τὸν ἐρεθισμόν σου, καὶ τὸν τράχηλόν σου τὸν σκληρόν· ἔτι γὰρ ἐμοῦ ζῶντος μεθʼ ὑμῶν σήμερον, παραπικραίνοντες ἦτε τὰ πρὸς τὸν Θεόν· πῶς οὐχὶ καὶ ἔσχατον τοῦ θανάτου μου;
For I know thy provocation, and thy stiff neck; for yet during my life with you at this day, ye have been provoking in your conduct toward God: how shall ye not also be so after my death?
28
Assemble unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
Gather together to me the heads of your tribes, and your elders, and your judges, and your officers, that I may speak in their ears all these words; and I call both heaven and earth to witness against them.
29
For I know that after my death ye will in any wise deal corruptly, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the end of days; because ye will do that which is evil in the sight of HaShem, to provoke Him through the work of your hands.'
For I know that after my death ye will utterly transgress, and turn aside out of the way which I have commanded you; and evils shall come upon you in the latter days, because ye will do evil before the Lord, to provoke him to anger by the works of your hands.
30
And Moses spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were finished:
And Moses spoke all the words of this song even to the end, in the ears of the whole assembly.

Masoretischer Text — Codex Leningradensis (Westminster-Ausgabe)

Jahrhundert n.

JPS 1917 — The Holy Scriptures according to the Masoretic Text

Ben Sira (Jesus Sirach)
