Textorah

Terms of use

By using Textorah you agree to these terms. They are short because the site is simple: free to read, offered as is. Effective 2026-11-01.

The texts and their licences

The site brings together texts and data from many sources, each under its own licence, listed on the Credits and licences page. Some layers (the Dead Sea Scrolls transcriptions and the Samaritan Pentateuch translation) are licensed for non-commercial use only; you may not reuse them commercially. Data derived from CC BY-SA sources is shared under CC BY-SA.

Computed results

The alignment of the Septuagint with the Hebrew verses, the marking of variants, the placement of scroll fragments, the word tags and some English translations are produced automatically or for this site, and contain mistakes. Check a critical edition before relying on them. Reports of errors are welcome.

Acceptable use

Do not try to disrupt the site, scrape it in a way that harms its performance, or get around the ad-free rules. Reasonable personal and scholarly use, including quotation with attribution, is welcome.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Textorah and its owner are not liable for any damages arising from its use.
